お盆

Ever since I started working, I have never been in a company (or organisation) that have Obon holiday.  Do other workers have the Oban holiday as an official holiday? Or is it just as one of those"I must take a holiday because everybody else does".
If you know  the answer, please tell me!

This afternoon, a friend of mine called me.  I asked this question.  She told me that some companies have a system called "planned holiday".  It is a system where staff have to take paid holiday during Obon.  
Now I know.  It is a matter of companies' systems.
I wonder if the system causes different problems.


社会人になってからずっと、会社や組織で御盆休みがある所に勤めたことがありません。他の労働者の皆さんは、御盆休みのある会社にお勤めなのでしょうか。それとも「みんな休むから」休み？
ご存知でしたら教えて下さい。

彼女の話では、「計画休暇」なるものが存在し、部署やみんなでまとめて御盆前後に一斉に休暇を取るそうです。
なるほど。どうやら会社にそのような制度が存在するから、が正解のようです。
それはそれでいろいろ問題があるような気がしますが。
